Hajj Yatra Online Registration: In India, different religious places are very special for people of different castes and religions. These people dream of visiting these holy places at least once. Similarly, Haj pilgrimage is very special for Muslims. Every year millions of people undertake the holy pilgrimage of Haj. Haj pilgrimage is scheduled in a certain period of the year. Now there is a special news for the people going on Haj.

Those who are preparing to go on Hajj will have to apply online first. The Minority Department has declared the date of online application as 9 September 2024. According to the Minority Welfare Officer, the person who wants to go on Hajj can apply with his necessary documents by visiting the department’s website.

10 big updates regarding Haj pilgrimage

1. There are some important documents that are required before travelling to any place. Similarly, people going on Haj must have their current photo, passbook copy, blood group report, Covid-19 vaccine certificate, Aadhaar card and passport copy among the documents required for online registration. The passport should be valid till 15 January 2026.

2. Those who wish to go on Haj can register themselves by visiting the website www.hajcommittee.gov.in or they can apply online before the last date by visiting hajcommittee.up.gov.in with the required documents.

4. Apart from this, there will be state-wise arrangements in Mecca this time. Mohsin Raza, President of Uttar Pradesh State Haj Committee, said that Khadim-ul-Hujjaj who travel with Haj pilgrims from UP will now be called Haj Inspectors.

5. Before Haj, all the pilgrims will be given proper training regarding the journey. This time the Haj Committee of India has decided to make state-wise arrangements in Mecca. This will provide a lot of convenience to the Haj pilgrims.

6. This time, the Haj Committee will give 2100 Riyals instead of 1100 Riyals. Applications are being filled to go on the holy journey of Haj and its last date is 9 September.

7. According to the Central Haj Committee, the Haj Committees of each state and the Haj related organizations take care of all the formalities from getting the form filled by the pilgrims to completing all the necessary procedures.

8. The Haj Committee has also made some changes in the rules. Now a maximum of 5 people will be able to travel for Haj in a group. Elderly people will not be able to travel alone this time too. Earlier, the rule was for people above 70 years of age to take a companion, now people above 65 years of age will be able to take a companion.

9. Children above two years of age will have to deposit the same amount as an adult. The applicant will choose the option for sacrifice or will get it done himself. Only four adults can apply to cover the older age group.

10. The return of pilgrims by charter flights is scheduled from June 11 to June 10. It is noteworthy that the age limit for pilgrims wishing to bring a companion has been adjusted. The main Hajj period, which includes the main rituals and ceremonies, will run from June 3 to June 8.
